Whitefish High School Futures Committee Conducted Workshops

In order to create alternative scenarios for the redevelopment of the high school facilities with a strong foundation of community input, the District created the Whitefish High School Futures Committee.  Comprised of a diverse group of community members including faculty, parents, community leaders, respected citizens and current students, the committee completed the following tasks:

1. ‣examined in detail critical factors such as current facility conditions, enrollment projections and cost of construction that influence the decision making process,
   

2. ‣created a broad set of goals for the future of Whitefish High School, and
   

3. ‣worked with the education consultants to design three alternative conceptual plans to redevelop the school’s campus. 
   

The committee’s work was conducted through a series of workshops during the summer of 2010.
